Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has defended the Jubilee government against opposition claims that the Jubilee government plans to rig the 2017 general election.

Addressing residents at Kiambu town on Saturday, Kabogo said that opposition’s claims are baseless. The Kiambu Governor  noted that the opposition is afraid of the 2017 general election because they know they will lose.

“It is good the opposition has sensed defeat in the 2017 general election but they should stop looking for excuses and blames through malicious propaganda,” he said.

Kabogo said that the opposition had resulted to malicious politics in order to gain support of Kenyans.

“Opposition leaders have embarked on propaganda as a tool of making the government fail in its development quest,” said Kabogo.

The Kiambu governor also dismissed the opposition’s claims that the Jubilee government had failed to deliver its election pledges saying that the government was on track and will deliver its promises.

“Its untrue for the opposition to claim that the Jubilee government has failed on development when much has been achieved in the last three years,” said the Kiambu County boss.

Kabogo warned that senseless allegations and propaganda allegedly being perpetuated by the opposition leaders could result into disharmony among Kenyans.

The Kiambu county boss urged Kenyans to shun the opposition smear and malicious politics.

The opposition led by Raila Odinga is allegedly claiming that the Jubilee government plans to rig the 2017 polls.

On its part the Jubilee government has denied the claims accusing the opposition of allegedly trying to cause political anxiety in the country ahead of the forthcoming 2017 general election.
