Madam Kuria said this following the increased robbery cases in Kangundo town and its outskirts. She said that the crime cases are likely to increase as the December festive season approaches unless necessary measures are taken.

"Any suspicious persons should be reported as well as any witnessed crime cases. If we choose to ignore crime cases because we have not been directly affected, we will suffer in the end because as long as a criminal is among us, anyone could be the next victim," warned Madam Kuria.

The OCPD also said that it was easier to curb crime and insecurity if the residents worked hand in hand with the police department. She however warned against false witnesses saying that anyone who will give false reports without sufficient evidence will as well face the law as a criminal.
