A middle-aged woman was on Monday arraigned before a court in Kangundo to answer to theft charges.

Appearing before Senior Principle Magistrate Timothy Okello, the accused, Ruth Ndunge, pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled before her.

The prosecution told the court that the accused, was arrested on December 7, 2015 in Tala market, for allegedly stealing Sh351,000, the property of Alice Syokau, a close friend.

The case will be mentioned on December 21, 2015 and heard on February 2, 2016.
