Kangundo Sub-County traffic base commander David Okisai has warned drivers of Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) against flouting traffic rules.

Speaking in Tala Town on Tuesday, the officer said PSV drivers usually flout traffic rules when competing for customers.

The commander said any driver found violating the set traffic rules will face the law.

Okisai asked drivers to show concern for their commuters' safety by avoiding cases of speeding and carrying excess passengers.

"It is evident that the PSV business is booming and many operators take advantage of the situation to break traffic rules. Let all PSV drivers in this area know that whoever will be found breaking the law will be prosecuted,” said Okisai.

The area has witnessed an increase in the number of police checkpoints in roads that lead to and from the sub-county.
