Residents of Kaptembwa in Nakuru West sub-county have been told not to panic over their security since the authorities are in control.
Area police boss Patrick Makau said they were on top of things in matters security, and called upon the residents to support the police in their quest to restore sanity in the area.
Speaking on Thursday, Makau added that they were adequately prepared to deal with any eventuality that could threaten the well-being of residents during this December season.
"The residents should not panic over their security because we have all measures in place to help combat crime. All we need from them is to support our officers so that we can get rid of criminals at the right moment to avoid any losses," he said.
He also took the opportunity to warn criminals in the area against robbing people adding that they would be arrested and prosecuted.
He said the area will continue to partner with the county government to help address various issues affecting residents such as floods.
