A warning has been issued by the OCPD Mildred Achieng to Kathiani sub-county bodaboda operators flouting traffic laws to cease before strict law is taken on them.
Achieng was speaking in his office in Kathiani sub-county headquarters where he reiterated that many bodaboda operators drive aimlessly and they don't have licences.
She also cited that others have become reluctant in a way that they don't wear mandatory helmets and reflector jackets.
"I am sending a warning to every motorcyclist. I have realised most people have become reckless and they don't care about losing their lives and for their customers. That behaviour should cease and anyone without a licence should go for training in order to get one," said Achieng.
"Three days ago an accident occurred along Kathiani-Machakos road leaving two people dead and one critically injured whereby I realised the owner of the motorbike did not even have a licence," added madam Achieng.
She said that she won't allow more deaths due to reckless driving of unqualified drivers and noted that soon there will be police crackdown on the same.
