According to them boreholes were dug early 2015 before heavy El-Nino rains which were experienced all over the country.

They said the boreholes were dug during the drought season and they are still wondering why they are not benefiting them as expected.

In an interview with some of them at Kauti area on March 1, 2016 they say there are over 10 boreholes in that area but none of them is in proper use.

"I am angered by the fact that boreholes were dug to benefit us but I don't see their purpose in this area. If the situation is not checked we will be forced to just demolish them," said Faith Kavuli.

Another resident who has one of the boreholes in his shamba expressed his anger saying he will just do away with it.

"I am annoyed because am having a shortage of water yet the borehole is just a stone throw away," said Wambua Muthei.

Residents called upon the county government to take action as they are seriously suffering due to lack of water.
