National Police Service Commission chairman Johnston Kavuludi has put on notice corrupt police officers saying they were tarnishing the name of the police force.
Speaking on Friday during the sensitisation exercise on the importance of police vetting at the Noble hotel Eldoret, Kavuludi said corrupt police officers will not be allowed to serve at the police force.
"Corruption the main cause of poor service delivery to mwanchi, as a commission we wont tolerate it, we will fight it by all means to bring sanity in the police service," he said.
He said the commission will do a thorough investigation on corrupt officers at all ranks and if found guilty, they will be sacked to act as an example to those with similar behaviour.
"As a commission, we are determined to fully transform the police service from police force to police service in an effort to bring good relationship between the police and public," he said.
He challenged the public to be resourceful to the commission by reporting corrupt police officers since they are the ones who interact with them on a daily basis.
"We will soon start a programme where we will sensitise the public and the police force on the dangers of corruption,"he said.
