Speaking to this Hivisasa writer, the owner of the garage Mr. Eliud Kimbo said that the ambulance was brought to the garage four weeks ago and repaired but no payments had been made so far. He said that the only way he could get his money was via impounding the vehicle just like he does to others. Mr. Kimbo further highlighted that this was not the first time for him to impound the vehicle stating that he had done the same back in 2014 after they took about five weeks to pay him for the services.

A local in Kikuyu who had just brought in his patient at Kikuyu Hospital Mr.Benson Njau said that his wife who has been undergoing treatment at the hospital hadn’t been able to get ambulance services and that forced him an extra cost of hiring a taxi.

The Assembly Health Committee Chairman Mr. Peter Kimani however said that he was not aware of the situation and that it was very disappointing and shaming to the county.

"Immediate action is going to be taken and i am going to consult with the health executive immediately to resolve the matter. However on behalf of the county government, I want to apologise for any inconveniences caused,’’ said Kimani.
