According to Mama Jane alias Mama githeri, the county has been reluctant to renovate the area despite them paying direct taxes to county askaris. Mama githeri who spoke to this Hivisasa writer claimed that the pool could cause their eviction in case of a diseases outbreak which could lead to their joblessness.

The small business operators have called on the county government to intervene and make long term solutions in the area. This photo was captured on Saturday afternoon.
