Mentioning the name Kibera to anyone makes them think of a huge slum. This is true but what you don’t know is kibera also has a lavish side to it.
This third largest slum in the world has areas with a very clean environment. Talk of Ayany Estate, this places rent is up to sh26, 000. This is hard to believe because most people assume that Kibera is full of dirty estates whose house rents cannot be above sh3000, well, you are wrong!
Ayany Estate’s houses are very clean and are provided with good security around the area. The good thing about this estate is that the food stuffs are very cheap.
‘’I live in Ayany, I love the place because there is proper security. It is also the cleanest estate in Kibera,’’ said Hosea Angwendo.
The estate has Ayany Primary School which was voted the most child friendly school in the country.
The area M.P Ken Okoth visited the school recently to congratulate them for their good performance and for the way they take care of their pupils.
