Kibera local leaders have urged residents to be careful after news broke that six lions have broken out of KWS this morning.
The leaders have come out to warn residents to be wary of the animals which are thought to be roaming in areas around Langata, Kibera and the Southern By-pass.
Sarang'ombe location chief, Danvas Mogire has urged parents to be watchful over their children and report any information about the animals.
"We have received a call from the KWS about the stray lions and we fear they might find their way into Kibera considering that this one of the nearest places. Residents should be very alert and report any information they have by calling the number 0800 221566," said Mogire.
He also urged the residents not to harm the lions should they spot any of them.
