The Kibera Constituency MP has decided to build schools to improve the state of schools in the slum.

The campaign Elimu Kwanza has been a great success as many children have started attending schools. It seems many schools in the area are now congested and needs to be expanded. Due to this, the MP has seen some schools built. He has erected new classes and built modern laboratories for the schools. The old schools have been renovated and now shine to welcome many children to study. Some of the schools which have been renovated are Olympic Primary while among the new constructed schools are Mbagathi High School and Raila Educational Centre.

''This project is important to me because it reminds me of the practical, measurable impact that being a public servant can have in changing the lives of our people and future generations,'' said Okoth.

These developments have been well received by the residents since the Mbagathi High School will have new classrooms, computer laboratory, computer laboratory and a staffroom.
