As the world ushers the new year always, it is not doubt that people make resolutions with the aim of bettering their lives.
Kibera residents aren't an exception as they have various ambitions which they believe will change their lives in 2016.
To Nancy Auma, who runs a grocery, 2016 is a year she expects her business to make a significant growth and increase in profitability.
She regretted that 2015 wasn't a very good year for her as her venture failed to pick up as she had expected the previous year.
However, she expects things to be rosy this year.
“I expect my business to pick up this year,” said the mother of three.
“My business failed to make impact in 2015 but I hope for better returns this year,” she added.
Elsewhere, Derrick Otieno who sells second hand shoes has the same expectations.
He too hopes that his business which he has been running for five years now will give high yields.
The 30-year-old, who hopes to save part of the profits to join college, believes things this will change for the better.
