Kibera youths have been urged to drop their CVs at the constituency development fund office at DC in Kibera so that the government can help them look for jobs as well as internships.

Confirming this, the constituency parliamentary liaison officer, Vincent Ayako, said the Kibera jobs office is meant to help youths who are in need of employment or internships. The office was started by the Kibera MP, Ken Okoth, to help youths get a head start in life.

''We already have some CVs from the youths but we intend to reach out to every person, just to help them acquire what they need,'' said Ayako.

Ayako founded the office in 2013 and since that time, it has helped a large number of youths in the area.

By youths dropping their CVs at the CDF office, it helps those in charge to quickly sample out. Ayako said it is easier to have the CV ready rather than advertising for posts when opportunities arise.

''There are many opportunities but it is usually better being ready. If we get a chance, we simply check the CV and forward it to the organisation. This has helped many youths get jobs, training and internships. I urge all Kibera youth to drop their CVs at the CDF office,'' said Ayako.
