Following the increased cases of boda boda operators finding themselves on the wrong side of the law, Sacco managements in Kikuyu sub-county in conjunction with Rocky Driving School are planning a training session on Saturday.
On Thursday, Erastus Mwaniki, one of the sacco chairmen, said the managements had collaborated with the driving school to equip motorcyclists with riding skills.
He said their focus will be on road signs stating that most operators have been arrested for failing to adhere to them especially those on the southern bypass.
He said the session at PCEA Church grounds will start at 7am to 2pm.
He said during the sessions, they expect all operators to be present to avoid disciplinary action against them.
The chairman said this will help curb the number of traffic offences among boda boda operators.
He said the training will be interactive. "We have collaborated with Rocky Driving School to ensure that operators in our saccos get training on road signs to reduce traffic offences amongst us," said Mwaniki.
He spoke during a boda boda meeting.
