A 43-year-old was arrested by police in Kikuyu after reports emerged that the man had allegedly raped a deaf 12-year-old girl in Zambezi, Kikuyu sub-county.
The man who is a guard at Green Estate in Zambezi is said to have lured the girl to his house where the beastly act allegedly took place.
A resident suspected something was amiss and that is when other neighbours were alerted and busted the suspect in the act.
Area Nyumba Kumi chairperson Daniel Mwangangi said that the suspect was found pants down with the minor and the girl’s uniform was torn indicating possible rape.
They rushed the girl to Kikuyu sub-county hospital as police were called to arrest the suspect.
Speaking in Kikuyu, OCPD SSP Mutune Maweu said that the man was arrested as investigations continue.
“The girl is a minor and deaf. She is currently at Kikuyu Hospital where she has been attended to. The suspect will be taken to court after investigations are over,’’ said Maweu.
