Kikuyu sub-county  traffic base commander Rashid Koko has told bodaboda riders operating in the area to adhere to traffic rules or quit the bodaboda business.

Speaking to journalists at Kikuyu town on Monday, the traffic boss warned that operators who flout traffic rules will be dealt with.

Koko said that cases of dangerous riding by a section of bodaboda operators have been reported.

“Bodaboda riders who flout traffic laws should know that they are being watched and will be dealt with accordingly,” said Koko.

The commander observed that his office has received complaints from the public over dangerous and reckless riding by some bodaboda operators.

Koko said that traffic officers will mount a swoop to arrest and charge rogue riders. The traffic commander asked all road users to be careful when using the roads especially this festive season.

Meanwhile, Neno Church televangelist James Nga’ng’a who is facing charges of causing death by dangerous driving was involved in yet another accident at Gitaru shopping center in Kikuyu on Saturday.
