Speaking to youths Thursday, Kikuyu youth leader Charles Njuguna said he was among those privileged to listen to Pope Francis's speech at Kasarani last week and stated that change is in the youth.

He said among many issues that the Pope addressed was that of the youth being the change.

He stated that for that reason, he has mobilised youth groups in the sub-county in a bid to fight corruption in the region.

He said corruption is a major vice that is taking the country behind and if the youth can stand against it, it can be wiped out.

The youth leader noted that most youths miss job opportunities because of corruption and being a vice that affects the youths too, he said it was time to say enough is enough.

Njuguna said that 23 youth groups had joined the campaign in a bid to fight the corruption.

"We have joined forces as youths of this sub-county and we have one main focus; which is saying no to corruption. The change is within us and today we want to implement the change not just to say it," said Njuguna.

He called on MCAs and MPs in the sub-county to also join forces against the vice.

The youth leader also stated that youths being the majority in the country, they could decide on the leaders they want stating that those leaders who are not going to help in the graft fight will be voted out come 2017.
