Nakuru will attain its target of becoming an ecomic hub in the region if all stakeholders especially political leaders cooperate and learn from each other, Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has said.
Speaking in his office at the county headquarters on Friday after hosting Molo MP Jacob Macharia who had paid him a courtesy visit, Mbugua noted that leadership was about accepting mistakes and learning from others.
"For a prosperous Nakuru, we as leaders should learn to consult, share ideas and advice one another on how best to make the lives of our people better," he noted.
He called on all elected leaders in the county to prioritise service delivery by learning from their predecessors and fellow leaders who have performed well.
Mbugua, who describes himself as a strong believer of pro-development leadership further called on other leaders to follow the Molo MP's example of consulting with him to deliberate on how best to serve the people in their areas of jurisdiction.
"My office is always open during official working hours. Come, let us talk and share ideas on how we can improve where our people feel we have performed dismally," the governor said.
He said he was in the process of sharing the insights he got from a recent visit to the People's republic of China.
