Kisii town matatu operators have been advised to wear uniforms for easy identification at the main stage.
According to the town assistant administrator, Wesley Saisi, this will help travellers easily identify the person working in the stage that they can have faith in.
Saisi said that people have been having problems, more so, when they are travelling since they are not able to identify who is a matatu operator and who is not.
“We have given all matatu operators a notice that they should wear uniforms of their respective saccos so that travellers can easily identify them,” said Saisi.
He added that this will help end some crimes that take place at the main stage that have been happening a lot.
“There are some crimes that have been reportedly happening at our stages but we hope that wearing uniforms will help us end such crimes,” he said.
Saisi said this will certainly benefit the matatu operators as well as their customers.
