A section of Kisii youths have faulted the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for not involving them in the upcoming grassroot elections.
Speaking on Friday in Kisii town while issuing a statement, the youths led by Caleb Simba and John Otao, blamed the incumbent leadership of the party for overlooking the youths.
They alleged the current leadership of Kisii county under the chairmanship of senator Chris Obure was not doing enough for the party due to their tight schedule.
“We want to be involved and have some youths, be it two or three, elected so that we can marshal votes for the party,” said Simba.
He added: “The youths are captured well in the party constitution and therefore it should be honoured."
His colleague, Otao reiterated: "We expect free, fair and credible elections. If we are given the opportunity we can popularise the party than anybody else."
The elections takes place on Sunday.
