One person has been arrested in Kisumu, after the recent conflicts between the two conflicting groups living on the border of Kisumu and Nandi Counties.

The clashes have led to the death of at least three people.

Affirming the capture, Kisumu County security coordinator, Joseph Limo, said investigations are in progress to capture the suspects who were responsible for the death of the three during the conflict a week ago.

Kisumu County leaders lead by Governor Jack Ranguma, Muhoroni MP, Onyango K'Oyoo, and his Nyando partner, Fred Outa, now want the government to prevent future conflicts. The leaders said that there have been assumptions between the two groups and they now need the government to have peace talks between the two groups.

Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Nkaissery, asked the area police to sit tight for investigations concerning the matter.

The two groups conflicted on Thursday after cases of cattle rustling, causing the death of three people and burning of a few houses. The County security officer assured region residents that security has been improved to avoid more deaths.
