Residents of Kiwanja Ndege in Njoro sub county have lauded the county government of Nakuru for initiating a water project in the area.
The residents on Thursday said that access to clean water in the area was a nightmare as there were no piped water around.
"We have been using borehole water which is not that safe because we have no choice but we would wish to thank Nakuru governor Kinuthia Mbugua for this gesture," said John Chege, a resident.
Peter Okwaro on his part said that his hopes on the county government had been revived after what he considered bring conveniently ignored by the government.
"They have done well to bring us clean water.Now am more than convinced that the county government of Nakuru is indeed working," he added.
On Thursday during his 'gavana mtaani' initiative governor Kinuthia Mbugua commissioned the water project at Ndege secondary school. The project will serve the school community as well as the entire Kiwanja Ndege dwellers.
