Kiambaa MP Paul Koinange has cautioned leaders against instigating hate remarks and instead urged them to unite Kenyans.

Addressing the public at Kiambaa Town on Thursday, the MP said that hate remarks being perpetuated by some leaders could cause disunity among Kenyans.

The Kiamba MP asked politicians to measure what they and desist from tribal statements.

“It is unfortunate that some of our leaders are keen to cause disunity among Kenyans through hate speech,” he said.

Koinange warned that hate mongering could cause divisions and violence if not controlled early.

He called on the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and other government agencies to crack the whip on hate mongers.

He said that dealing with perpetrators of hate speech will protect the country against animosity and disunity.

The MP also called on politicians to exercise humility and learn to accept and tolerate each other views.
