Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) and other agricultural stakeholders have been advised to end challenges facing tea farmers in Kisii region.

According to the Kenya Social Congress Party (KSC) chairman, Atati Kengere said farmers are facing many challenges that need to be addressed and a better solution for the problems.

Addressing delegates on Tuesday at a Kisii hotel, Kengere said most delegates are tea farmers and they face many challenges every year.

''As the Kisii community and leaders to the party, we are very concerned about the kind of farming we are doing since it is our major source of income, therefore we urge the management of this firm to make sure they have measures put in place to help farmers,'' said Kengere.

He added that KTDA together with other agriculture sectors ensure that farmers are well paid for their products so that they can also benefit from their harvests.

''Farmers are supposed to be well paid since they depend on farming, I urge KTDA to adjust its measures to pay farmers in a better pay,''
