Tameyotta Day Secondary School in Kuresoi North Constituency will get a facelift courtesy of an ongoing two-day outreach programme by the county government officials in the area.

Speaking at the school Thursday, Governor Kinuthia Mbugua, together with his deputy Joseph Ruto, pledged to send county engineers to work on a plan to upgrade classrooms and social amenities such as toilets.

“The county government will send engineers working with us and we want them to come up with a comprehensive plan on upgrading classrooms and other amenities which I have found to be in wanting,” said the Governor.

The county boss said development in the school had lagged behind and sanitation was lacking, posing health risks to students.

On his part, Ruto assured the students together with their teachers that the county government will work together with the school to ensure that development is realised and performance is improved.

“When a school has good infrastructure, the end result is good performance and as the county government of Nakuru, we will work together and make sure that everything is in order including classrooms,” said Ruto.

Together with his administrative team, Mbugua has pitched camp in the area from Wednesday in a new challenge which has given residents and opportunity to interact with the governor face to face.
