Speaking on Wednesday at the Sirikwa shopping centre after handing over the cheques to three different schools, Nyota ward MCA Njuguna Gicanu called on school heads to make good use of the funding in improving infrastructure at their institutions. He expressed confidence in Governor Kinuthia's aproach to leadership saying that under him, the county had witnessed tremendous improvements in the education sector which he believes sets the bar high to any leader seeking any elective post come 2017.

Among the areas that benefited are Turi, Sirikwa and Nyota wards with the most under developed schools in terms of dilapidated classrooms, under equiped libraries and laboratories being considered.

Gicamu delivered a cheque of Kshs. 54, 000 to Kaplelach Secondary School, Kshs. 126, 000 to Chesingele Secondary while Sitoito Secondary School got Kshs. 114, 000.
