Residents of Kapkures Ward in Nakuru West Constituency led by their MCA Joseph Lang’at have thanked the director of Metro World Child (Kenya) for donating desks to their new school.

Speaking to the press, the MCA in a statement read by his personal assistant, Alfred Kitur, said residents were grateful to Ms Janine Stellatos, Metro World Child (Kenya) director,  for her donation.

Lalwet Primary School is the first school in the sub-location, and it opened its doors to the public this year.

It has admitted 50 pupils in ECDE, and 40 in Standard One.

“We as the Lalwet community are very grateful to the director of Metro World Janine Stellatos for her gracious donation. We set up this school from scratch, and we take the opportunity to thank her for the desk donation," said the MCA in the statement.

Metro World Child (Kenya) has donated 19 desks to the school, each with a capacity to seat three pupils.

Last year, the organisation that also has a school feeding programme for needy students in specific schools, donated desks to Kigonor Primary school after the MCA highlighted its plight through the media.
