Uasin Gishu County Public Service Board Chairman Joseph Tanui has put on notice lazy and absentee county officials saying they risk losing their jobs. Speaking in his office on Friday, Tanui said that he has received reports from the public that uasin Gishu County workers are not working to the required standards.
"I have received credible information from the public that there are county workers who don’t report to their working places, are harsh to clients while attending to them while others absent themselves from work only leaving their courts hanging," he said.
He said that such officials will be shown the door since they were employed to serve wananchi from 8am to 5pm adding no one is allowed to leave before 5pm and that any misbehaviour by workers will not be tolerated.
"We were employed by the Uasin Gishu County Government to serve the public in a friendly manner and any one mistreating our clients will be sacked and replaced with competent ones since they are our bosses," he said.
