The name Morris Mwenda is now a household name and for Kenyans who are always online, the hash tag #OpportunitiesForMorris is very familiar.
For those who do not know Morris Mwenda, he is a young boy living in the streets of Nairobi who surprised many by his articulate spoken English.
Mwenda said that most street children are willing to go to school but they just lack opportunities.
This prompted many well-wishers to pledge support for the street boy including Nairobi senator Mike Mbuvi, commonly known as 'Sonko.'
The senator has asked for the boy to be brought to his office. He pledged to offer support for the street kid.
This is not the first time the senator is offering to help and sponsor the needy in the society.
From paying maternity bills for poor mothers to the Sonko Rescue team initiative.
Other leaders should emulate the Senator's generosity. It will surely make a difference.
