Parents living in town areas have been advised to give their children an opportunity to experience life in the villages during the holidays.

Margret Wangechi, a business lady in Kamwangi town noted that by enabling children to visit their villages, they will get to not only learn culture and the village lifestyle but will also gets a chance to learn the activities conducted in the village.

Speaking from Kamwangi town on Saturday, Wangechi noted that urban areas residing children are often used of doing simple jobs which she said is contrast to what happens in the village.

She revealed that children physically grow by having diverse experiences of what is happening from both urban and rural areas.

"Playing alone should not be the only task for children on holidays, make them know how to handle certain tasks like milking, digging and planting trees. This way, they will get to learn a few different experiences on top of what they are used to in towns," she observed.

She advised parents to always help their children to understand what is right and wrong.
