Keragia residents in Nyamira county have a reason to smile after well-wishers made donations ranging from beds, lab equipment and drugs to the local Keragia Dispensary.

The well-wishers comprising mostly of locals from abroad donated the equipment to ease the scarcity that had led to a serious crisis with local forced to travel a long distance to get to Nyamira Hospital to receive treatment.

The group leader of the diaspora group Mr. Job Nyangena on Thursday said that the area residents living outside the country will continue supporting the dispensary as a way of giving back to the society.

According Mr. Nyang’ena, the diaspora group will extend the same kindness to other parts of North Mugirango constituency to boost the health sector.

He also said that they will collaborate with Nyamira county health department to ensure only the neediest dispensaries in the constituency receive beds, pharmaceuticals and lab equipment.

“We are reaching to the county government to know the neediest dispensaries so that we can dispatch beds, lab equipment’s and drugs. We are ready to work with the health department,” he said.
