Lukenya Boys High School has emerged the top among all the schools that sat KCSE in Machakos county last year.

This is according to the Athi River sub-county director of education Joseph Kiema who said the school had registered sterling results.

“Lukenya Boys is leading in the county in 2015 KCSE results followed by Machakos Girls High School, it is most likely the best in entire Ukambani region,” said Kiema.

Kiema who addressed the press at his office in Athi River town on Tuesday said the school attained a mean score of 10.05.

He said among the 105 candidates who sat the examinations 3 scored A plain, 43 A minus, 35 B plus, 14 B plain, 4 B minus, 4 C plus and 2 C plain in that order.

“This is a good performance, the education ministry is proud of Lukenya Boys for the commendable results. We are proud of the boys,” said Kiema.

Kiema said the Athi River sub-county school’s leadership is organized and the school is run professionally despite being private.

According to him, the school has professional teachers who implement their duties with passion and diligence thereby yielding the best results as had been observed.

Kiema said all schools in the region should be committed to ensuring their candidates excel in their examinations.
