Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi has assured ward leaders that that each ward shall be given an opportunity for equal representation in the county's Ward Bursary Committee.
Speaking on Wednesday at the county cultural hall where he met a delegation from Moticho ward in South Mugirango, Maangi said the ward committee shall constitute members who will be chosen democratically.
"I assure you that the composition of ward bursary committees shall be done openly and democratically to the satisfaction of all stakeholders," said Maangi.
He added that the committee members will be trained to discharge their mandate fairly and effectively.
Maangi also eulogised former principal of St Joseph Nyabigena High School who succumbed to a heart attack Monday night.
