Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi has asked Christians to pray for this nation and the leadership of the country so that we have peace.

Maangi said leadership comes from God and there is a need to put the leadership unto God’s hands to guide all leaders on how to provide good leadership to wananchi.

Speaking on Tuesday in Kisii town, Maangi challenged Christians to promote leadership affairs by keeping on praying for current leaders who are in power to deliver wisely to people.

“Even if you are in power as a leader you can’t have wisdom to lead and deliver to residents if you are not guided by the holy spirit,” said Maangi.

Maangi added: “I am asking my fellow Christians to pray for the national government and county governments’ leadership to have unity, peace, support, guide, rule and lead in a good manner.”

He also challenged parents to take care of their children since in the current days many of the children have involved themselves in crimes and alcoholism among other evil things.

“Let every parent take care of his child because we do not want to see our children included in crime cases and alcoholism. As you pray for our governments also pray for your children,” said Maangi.
