A 34-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in Ruiru town after he was allegedly busted with a school girl in lodging.
The owner of the lodging was also arrested for admitting a minor in his premises and the facility closed down over the incident.
Ruiru OCPD SSP Isaac Thuranira said police stormed the lodging this morning after a tip-off from members of the public.
Police found the man pants down with the form one student.
Members of the public accused the operators of the facility of allowing underage girls be admitted in there.
‘’We have arrested the man who we suspect defiled the minor and currently the girl is in a private hospital where tests will be done to help us get more evidence on the suspect” Thuranira said.
“The owner of the lodging is also in custody and will be charged accordingly. His premises, however, has been closed and will not operate again,” Thuranira said.
Thuranira warned Guest Houses operating in the area that it is a crime to allow minors be booked into the houses for sexual purposes.
All those found doing so will be closed, he said.
