Speaking after handing over one hundred wheel chairs to people with disability during the Jamuhuri celebrations, Governor Jackson Mandago said people with disability have the rights just like their normal counterparts.

"I give warning to parents who hide disabled children that stern actions will be taken against them. He said the disabled have the right to education and associate with other individuals," he said.

"I urge people living with disability to show up at the National Council for People With Disability for them to access wheel chairs and money allocated for them,"he said.

The one hundred wheel chairs were donated by the National Council for People Living With Disability through the Uasin Gishu Chairman Titus Yego who urged them to use the wheel chairs well.
