A legislature in Nakuru County has lauded Governor Kinuthia Mbugua for his 'result oriented approach' to leadership that has made Nakuru a hotspot for investment and entrepreneurship.

According to Kihingo Ward MCA Stephen Karanja Kiarie, Mbugua was answering his critics well through performance; a majority of those who questioned his credibility  bearing in mind that he was a first-timer in politics, have resigned from the public service where he had a distinguished tenure before venturing into politics in 2013.

Speaking on Sunday after hosting the governor in his backyard for a funds drive in aid of the Subukia Kenya Assemblies of God church, Kiarie noted that Mbugua had managed to unite the County through equitable distribution of resources further adding that his work spoke for itself.

“It will be unimaginable for anybody to question our Governor’s track record because even those who opposed him way back in 2013 have now realised that Nakuru is in safe hands. You don’t need to be told because his excellent works are obvious,” he said.

He called on fellow leaders to support the Governor in executing his development agenda saying that time had come for them to forgo their political differences for the sake of overseeing a fully developed County.

Kiarie also asked local MPs to come out and account for money under the Constituency Development Funds kitty (CDF) in their respective constituencies arguing that a majority of on-going projects were being funded by the County Government.

“Let our MPs not hide under the County Government’s umbrella, of what importance is the CDF kitty if the county has been left to fund all projects? We are watching,” he said.

The governor two months ago launched an extensive development projects tour across the county and so far he has launched roads, school classes, a polytechnic, and water dams among other projects; some completed and others on-going and is on record vowing to complete any project initiated under his administration before the next general elections.
