Governor Kinuthia Mbugua Saturday led a number of leaders in paying tribute to the late Harun Cheboi, father to Kuresoi North MP Moses Cheboi, who was laid to rest at his Ogilgei farm in Njoro.
Addressing the mourners governor Mbugua described Cheboi as a staunch Christian who worked diligently to see the church grow.
"It is also a big loss to us in Nakuru County. By extension, his work was felt in other areas of the county and we sincerely pass our condolences," he said.
Cheboi passed away on January 9 this year and has left behind a widow Annah Cheboi, 5 children and several grandchildren.
Other leaders who accompanied the the governor included Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter, deputy governor Joseph Ruto, deputy speaker in the National Assembly Joyce Laboso, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Speaker of the County Assembly Susan Kihika, Majority Leader Mwaura Njenga, among other leaders.
