Robert Mbui, MP Kathiani sub-county has urged parents to make sure they take all their children to school not leaving behind those with disabilities.
Mbui was speaking on January 28, at Kitulu primary school in Mitaboni ward during his tour to sub-county primary schools.
He said that it's every parent's responsibility to ensure that his or her child gets education knowing that primary education is free.
He also stated that failure of a child to miss education due to lack of school uniform without his knowledge it's an offence.
The MP urged all people to be on the lookout and whoever spots a child loitering when others are in school should report the matter immediately to the nearest police station for the right action to be taken to the child's parents.
"My joy is to see all children in my constituency get education as these children are our future leaders and failure to educate them is the worst mistake that one can make. If they don't get education they could become desperate and end up engaging in bad company, drugs and theft," said Mbui.
