An MCA aspirant in Kisumu has claimed his life is in danger.

Kondele Ward aspirant Joachim Oketch Omieno on Saturday got a taste of politics after his vehicle was vandalised by unknown people.

“Vandalizing my car and sending death threats will not deter me. The will of Kondele people is bigger than individual interest,” said Omieno.

He termed the move shameful and uncouth of politicians still living in the stone age era and urged his team dubbed ‘Team Change members/Supporters’ to stay strong as no amount of intimidation will stop them from realising their goals.

He stated that the unknown assailants tried removing his head lights and opening the bonnet, but they did not manage.

Omieno, who is 29 years old and an accountant by profession said he will still traversing Kondele ward to seek for votes and that it was not good that politicians were using some people to disillusion him.

The incident, which he has reported to the police comes barely few days after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) asked politicians to be tolerant during this electioneering period.
