Bokimonge ward representative George Bibao has taken issue with Kenyenya OCPD over poor service delivery in the area.
Speaking in his ward on Wednesday, Bibao asked the police boss Richard Baini to operate from the new office at Kenyenya so that area residents can get better services.
The MCA alleged the OCPD was operating from Ogembo, a move he said was jeopardising service delivery in the area and therefore asked him to relocate to where he is located to serve.
“Security is a sensitive docket and therefore the OCPD should either relocate to Kenyenya or serve the people he is assigned to or be transferred. It is inconvenient to serve residents from Ogembo town yet there is an office that is already complete,” said Bibao.
The ward rep added: “I personally went to check on him but I did not meet him. We fought for Kenyenya District in Bomachoge Borabu sub-county and therefore we deserve services at all cost.”
When reached for comment, the OCPD said he currently operates from Ogembo town because his office at Kenyenya has been under construction.
He promised to move into the new office once its complete and therefore asked residents to bear with the situation.
However, Baini said he has been offering his services to area residents and therefore denied any insecurity assertions from some quarters.
