Kamenu MCA Elizabeth Muthoni has told off critics who have been questioning the nature of the feeder roads that were constructed in various parts of the ward recently.
Muthoni said many of the roads are yet to be completed and construction works was suspended after the El Nino rains started.
"Those people going round the ward accusing me and the county government of doing a shoddy job on the feeder roads should know that the roads are halfway complete," said Muthoni in Kiganjo on Thursday.
She added: "What the contractor did was to put a temporary measure to mitigate the impact of El nino rains and ensure that the roads were at least passable. People interested in 2017 politics should wait for that time than go round talking without facts".
She said construction will resume as early as January when rains are over noting a proper drainage system will also be put in place.
David Karichu a businessman and a local politician has been vocal against the roads saying they were hurriedly put up to hoodwink residents that the MCA was doing something.
"This is mediocrity and even residents if given tools and resources could have done better by themselves. The roads must be redone afresh," Karichu was quoted saying on Monday to Kiganjo boda boda operators.
