Ombeyi MCA Joshua Auko has threatened to take to court those claiming he stole medical equipment meant for the ward.
Auko said he got a container from his friends overseas and it was carrying an assortment of goods for the people.
“This was my own initiative, I contacted my friends in the USA and they brought the equipment. I wonder how I stole it from the people, yet I have distributed the container contents to my people,” he said.
He said that police officers are already investing some people who said that he stole the container.
Auko said that he has a name to protect and will not allow people interested in his seat in 2017 to soil his name.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Monday, Auko said that after investigations, police will advise if those mentioned can be arrested and taken to court.
“I want them to tell Court how I stole the container,” he said.
He said that he want the issue to serve as an example to other people who continue to drag people’s name to imaginary things.
Auko announced that another container is coming in the course of the year carrying food for the people of Ombeyi.
He said that as a leader he was elected t lead his people and his mandate is to look for goodies for those who elected him.
