Members of County Assembly (MCA) from Kangundo Sub-County on Wednesday, lead area residents in a peaceful demonstration seeking promised road construction.
The MCA of Kathiani, Robert Mbui, MCA from Mitaboni, Philip Ndolo and their counterpart from Mavoko, Patrick Makau, joined in the demonstration to tarmac the road from Komarock to Mitaboni.
Speaking on Wednesday, during the demonstration, Ndolo stated that the funds had already been put aside.
"We set aside one hundred and fifty million last year for the Komarock Mitaboni Road to be constructed and it is yet to be passed by Governor Alfred Mutua,'' said Ndolo.
One of the taxi drivers who use the road, Mark Muasya, stated the county government promised to tarmac the road from Kathiani to Komarock and Mitaboni, two years ago.
Many protesters decried that for the past rainy seasons, their businesses have been going on losses and they have, therefore, called upon the national government to intervene.
