Speaking in his office on Monday, Yego said people with disabilities pass through a lot while preparing for their national examinations.

He said some of them have difficulties in walking, hearing and seeing, making it hard for them to compete fully with their normal counterparts.

"Students with disabilities pass through many challenges while pursuing their education therefore they should be given special units compared to other students," he said.

He said that the Ministry of Education should set a pass mark that they can be able to attain.

"Students with disabilities should be given a pass mark of three hundred and fifty marks for them to join national schools," he said.
