Mlolongo assistant county commissioner Obed Mose has been transferred.
Mose who has served in the position in Athi River sub-county for more than 20 years has been moved to Kitui county.
He served as an assistant county commissioner in Daystar division before being transferred to Mavoko and later Mlolongo where he served in for less than a year before the current development.
Mose’s transfer comes barely a month since his former boss, Kodeck Makori, the out gone region’s deputy county commissioner whom he worked under since the year 2011 was recalled to the office of the President mid last month.
The commissioner who spoke with this writer on the phone on Friday confirmed his transfer revealing he had already reported at his new station of work.
“Hi Mr Owiti, it is coincidental that you have just called when I was about to call you. I am no longer serving in Mlolongo Division as I have been transferred to Kitui County, thanks for your cooperation and being a good friend for the time we have worked together in your line of duty,” said Mose.
Mose who sounded excited however said he was yet to hand over the Mlolongo office to the incoming assistant county commissioner.
He said though he had reported in his new station of work, he was waiting for the incoming assistant county commissioner for an official handing over of the office.
Mose revealed he has a farewell party on Wednesday next week at a Mlolongo town’s hotel.
