Molo residents have are expressed optimism that the government will resolve the issue of IDPs in the area.
Affected persons supported a demonstration held at State House in Nakuru over the compensation of IDPs.
Daniel Gaturo, said it is time their issue is resolved.
"I have high expectations that the compensation will be as soon as possible. The leaders addressing the meeting appeared genuine," he said.
Grace Wambui, claimed that the compensation had taken too long.
"It has been so long. About eight years since the occurrence of post-election violence. I have no doubt that the government is willing to solve the matter once and for all," Wambui said.
George Karanu echoed the sentiments of adding that the failure to compensate IDPs was a reminder of the bad past.
"I believe that the government will be out to fulfill the promises made. If not, the IDPs will be having bad memories of their bad past," Karanu said.
The IDPs demonstrated at State House Nakuru on Sunday demanding compensation.
They were addressed by Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who assured them compensation by February this year.
Molo is one of the key areas that were affected by post-election violence in 2007/8.
