Residents of Molo constituency are excited over the unannounced visits of Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.
Speaking Thursday morning, the parents showed their gratitude and support for the exposed rot in the education sector.
"I am the happiest person to see a bold Education boss. His visit to Naivasha schools shows how corruption and misappropriation of funds is in public schools," said Charles Kimani.
Jared Orina, was disappointed by the fact that parents' money and government subsidies are being wasted.
"It's a bad habit to have resources mismanaged yet parents sweat to find fees and government taxes. The culprits should be charged accordingly."
Moses Mwaura is optimistic that the new CS will help redeem the image of the education sector.
"We hope that the good move by the CS will be effective in restoring hope in education sector," said the parent.
Education CS toured several schools in Naivasha on Wednesday among them Naivasha Boys High, Naivasha Girls High and Mirera Primary schools.
In one of the schools, the minister, who was accompanied by Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang, found out that the management was charging exorbitant fees against the guidelines from the ministry.
